Crane relocation involves disassembling, transporting, and reassembling ship-to-shore container cranes from one berth or terminal to another. ZPMC USA uses purpose-built SPMT (Self-Propelled Modular Transporter) equipment to move cranes weighing thousands of tons. Each relocation follows a proven methodology: site assessment, engineering and planning, execution, and commissioning.

Raise and gauge involves increasing a crane's height (raise) and/or rail spacing (gauge) to accommodate larger vessels. As container ships grow in size, existing cranes need structural modifications to maintain operational capability. ZPMC USA engineers and executes these modifications while minimizing terminal downtime.

Project timelines vary based on scope, distance, and site conditions. A single crane relocation within a terminal complex can take as few as 10-14 days. Multi-crane projects or cross-facility relocations may take several weeks. Every project includes detailed scheduling coordinated with terminal operations to minimize disruption.
